Water Restrictions

BY-LAW NO. 507 applies to all water users that are connected to the municipal water works of the Public Utilities Commission.

The water use restriction by-law is designed to curtail water consumption as we approach the limits of our water supply capacity. When peak daily demand is less than 80% of the in-service capacity there are no restrictions on water use. Restrictions as to how often one can irrigate lawns and gardens begin when demand approaches 80%. If demand approaches 100% all outdoor water use will be restricted. Water use restrictions will be declared through Public Notice that may include notices on local TV, radio and newspapers as well as web media such as this website.
