Starting May 1st, PUC Distribution Inc. received approval from the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) to increase distribution rates. Today marks the end of the winter disconnection ban for residential customers. Customers who are in arrears may have already received a disconnection notice from their distributor in April and should know that there are rules and programs in place to protect them.

PUC would like to advise customers in the West End of the City that crews will be in the area to conduct hydrant flow tests over the next few weeks. These flow tests determine the flow rate and water pressure at specific locations within PUC’s water distribution system. These tests are required under the Fire Code to determine how much water would be obtainable during a fire emergency.
