Summer Students - Facilities

PUC Services Inc. will be hiring 6 students for the period of May 2 to August 26, 2022. Resumes for summer employment must be received in Human Resources by March 18, 2022 to be considered. Only students who are accepted as candidates for employment will be notified by early April. 

Criteria for the selection of students are as follows: 

•    Student must have completed first year of post-secondary education at a minimum;
•    Student must be returning to full time studies;
•    Students must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing;
•    Student must be physically able to assist with general building and property maintenance; and
•    Students must be able to work outdoors.

Returning Summer Students:

Students who are eligible for re-hire (students who worked for PUC Services Inc. the previous summer and are returning to full-time studies in the fall), are also required to submit a resume prior to the deadline.  

Work Tasks:

Summer Students are required to assist the Facilities Department in the general building and property maintenance of PUC Services Inc.’s various work sites.  These sites include the main PUC Building, the Water Treatment Plant, the East and West Environmental Centres, as well as maintaining the various pump stations and substations. The work is mainly outdoor general labour and may be physically demanding in nature.
